Hello friends! I am here bringing you some wedding planning advice in the form of choosing your Processional song!! This is something that I really struggled with when planning my own wedding and that I thought I might help you with!!

For some background, I had begun planning my wedding have only attended 3 weddings in my entire and having photographed one additional at that point. I knew I wanted a gorgeous wedding like my (now) Husband’s sister and brother-in-law had but that was all I had for a frame of reference. Something that had always stood out to me what that their wedding had a song of significance for the processional.

Now, if you want to go traditional and walk down the aisle to The Wedding March or to Canon in D, that it wonderful!! There is nothing wrong with sticking to a tradition as long as you like that tradition. I knew I wanted something a little more modern so I set out listening to every single option I could find from The Piano Guys, Brooklyn Duo, 2Cellos…the list goes on…

It wasn’t until I came across a song that I had never even thought to consider that I found the perfect and meaningful song for me to walk down the aisle to. It was the Jurassic Park Theme covered by the Piano Guys. I’m guessing that wasn’t even on your radar as a possibility right?! Mine, either!! But Jurassic Park is Ryan’s all time favorite movie and we were watching it our first Halloween together when Ryan realized he loved me. Super sweet!! To some it may seem weird but for me it was the only choice!!

Now, I don’t know how easily you will be able to find your perfect song but I made this post today to try and help you think outside the box and look at ideas that might seem less than conventional. Remember that your wedding is about YOU and there is no wrong choices as long as they make you happy!!

I’ve also compiled a BUNCH of my favorite processional-type songs in a playlist that you can view on Spotify HERE if you are interested!! If nothing else, it is a great instrumental playlist to put on while you’re wedding planning!!

Thanks so much for reading!! Let me know what other Wedding Wednesday tips you’d love to see!!

Best Wishes!
Chelsea
