There were a few questions I got asked in a recent post on Instagram and this is the first one I’m going to be answering! There are so many different aspects to consider when planning your wedding, especially when it comes to decor. How do you know what to focus on? Well, I have a few suggestions that I hope will help you navigate!!

1. Floral Decor
This is not going to be a surprise, but my number one suggestion is to focus on your floral decor. Does this mean you have to spend a fortune? Absolutely NOT!

I highly recommend focusing on your main bouquet as it will be used for so many photos. It’ll be a statement piece in your portraits, used to tie together your detail shots, and overall can really elevate a budget wedding! If you’re a DIY bride, Trader Joe’s will be your best friend for high quality but inexpensive florals and greenery!!

I also recommend focusing on florals or greenery for your reception tables. No, I’m not talking about massive overwhelming (and expensive) centerpieces. Using bud vases throughout is a great way to spread out a small amount of florals and make it look full.

Another option for is to focus solely on greenery for your reception tables with florals being focused only on YOUR table (or not at all)!

There are a million ways to upgrade your wedding and elevate your design. All of that costs money though and, let’s be honest, weddings are already super expensive!! Focusing on your florals, even simple designs, can really help you get the most bang for your buck!!

I know a lot of my couples are still searching for their florist. I highly recommend Sinclair Designs, Botanica Wedding or Willow & Grey Florals. These are all amazing floral designers who can make magic out of even the simplest designs! Other than that, thank you so much for reading! If you’re interested in more wedding planning advice, I share a new post every Wednesday!
